Summary: One of the best anthologies of the year:
Comment: There are some terrific stories in this collection, not least of which are those contributed by the editors themselves. "Audience" by Jack Womack has been chosen for the 1998 volume of "The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror" -- and the volume as a whole will be listed as one of the best of the year. I also heartily recommend Susan Palwick's heart-breaking tale.
