Summary: Bubbles is a winner!!
Comment: In the second paragraph of her acknowledgemet, Sarah Strohmeyer thanks Janet Evanovich for her support. She calls Evanovich a mentor and a friend. And, she states that Bubbles was "born" on Evanovich's kitchen table in New Hampshire.

All I have to say is--THANK HEAVENS!!

There are definite parallels between Bubbles Yablonsky and Stephanie Plum--they are both funny and well-written!!

I found this book to be a pure pleasure!! I consider it a plus when I smile while reading....

The secondary characters are also well done--I especially like the relationship between Bubbles and her daughter, Jane. I have a teenager myself and feel that that relationship rings particularly true.

I am eagerly awaiting the next Bubbles fix!! Thanks Sarah Strohmeyer........

Summary: Wannabe Plum
Comment: This book is entertaining, but what takes away from it is the fact that the entire time that I was reading it I kept thinking of Stephanie Plum. Bubbles' mom reminds me of Stephanie's grandma - Stilleto is obviously a copy of Joe. Even Mr. Salvo has similarities to Vinnie... same story line. Not perfect Jersey girl finds herself in trouble that she's not cut out for, in love (or lust) with men she shouldn't be, and surrounded by kooky characters.

It's worth reading for the fact that it is an easy read. However, I would suggest if you're looking for a good book of this nature, read Janet. If you've read them all already, read them again.

Summary: Bubbles Unbound
Comment: I had heard about this series on one of my internet groups. They were compared to Stephanie Plum's series which I enjoyed reading greatly.Bubbles Unbound was a good read and I can't wait to read the other 2 books. It was funny but unlike The Plum books they really stick to the story line mystery in the book.Bubbles mother LuLu and her friend Genevieve are really funny.I also enjoyed Bubbles teenage daughter Jane. There were also some funny moments in the beauty shop that Bubbles works in. She is a hairdresser as well as a journalist.Pam
