Summary: Stella's Groove is obviously not for everyone
Comment: I read this book when it first hit the book shelves and loved it loved it loved it. It was a perfect summer read. I was concidering re-reading it before the movie opened and that is what brought me to these reviews. I admit the stream of consciousness writing required a little time to get used to but it was a welcome change from the same ole same ole and well worth the effort. This style of writing was a perfect match for the book. I felt as if I had really gotten into Stella's head and it endeared her to me. After reading these reviews, it is obvious that not everyone can relate to Stella's Groove but the same can be said for any book and any protagonist. Relating to Stella may require that you become aquainted with that part of yourself that has the potential to be a free spirit. The book's message "Life is short, play hard!". Personally I can not wait to see Ms. Basset bring Stella to life. As for Ms. McMillan. Keep on writing girl and please keep ! experimenting with your writing style and bringing us stories ALL women can relate to.

Summary: I think that this book was very good book.
Comment: How stella got her groove back by Terry McMillian is about a fourty-two year old woman who is searching for love. She took a vacation to jamaica where see meet this guy name Winston . winston is young , but she doesn't really mind .She goes back home after a week and tells her family about her adventures. They really didn't approve about what happend down in Jamaica. The two began to fall in love and can't live with out each other. I think that the author of this book Terry McMillian that you can find love no matter the age , ethnic background, or color. the charcter Stella had to make a lot of hard choices. Her choices lead in to a great relationship where she found happiness. The charcter stella seemed like she was a very good, and real person. She acts the same way that some of family members act. I really like this book and hope to see more of her books.

Summary: Brutal
Comment: That's the most polite word I came up with to describe this piece of junk. Why are Terry McMillan's books so popular? Just once I would like her to write a book above sixth grade level. Just once.
