Summary: A human experience for all to share
Comment: This book was the second one I have read about MPD; the first being "Sybil", which I read several years ago. My understanding of this condition was greatly increased by "The Flock". I was also deeply moved by Joan Frances Casey's ability to share her experience. She gave us everything from emotion to action and all within context. I was especially fascinated by her description of her integration: how incredible these bodies are, but how much more incredible the souls that propel them. Reading her story has led me to think along the paths of our purpose in living these lives and in these bodies. She has urged me to continue reading on this subject. I feel I'm on the edge of learning so much more about our psyche and even my own. Thank you, Joan Frances, and of course, Lynn and Gordon. What a wonderful contribution their lives left behind.

Summary: MPD Documentary
Comment: As a multiple, I completely recomend this book to anyone who wants to understand more about mpd. This book reviews the therapy recieved by a multiple with 24 different personalities. There is a discription of her experiences and therapy followed by a review of the thereapist notes after sessions. It gives the book a great perspective.
There are many other books on the market that are merely a compilation of different abuse experiences and patterns. While they are more grafic and sensational, they don't emphasize as much what it is like to live with mpd and how hard it is to recieve adequate therapy.
I feel comfortable recomending this book to my friends who want to learn more about mpd. I'm not afraid that they will get completely freaked out by the stories of abuse.
Thank you Joan Frances and Lynn Wilson

Summary: Autobiography of a Multiple Personality
Comment: One of the best books I've read to understand how the multiple personality functions in everyday life. This book shows good insight for the person living with a multiple. The way it is written helps the reader to see both sides of the illness. It helps to see the practical way one person dealt with the effects on her life as well as the effects on the life of the one who is a multiple personality. Highly recommended.
