Summary: A Walk to Remember
Comment: I recently read this book for the third time. Each time is just as great as the one before. I want to start off by saying that it is very different from the movie. So, for those of you that think you already know everything that will happen, you should think again.
I picked this book up at the library after reading "The Notebook." I had enjoyed that, but never expected to be as touched as I was when I read "A Walk to Remember." You can read the summaries, so I don't want to waste your time with what it's about. But I would like to say that this book is one that you can cherish and re-read over and over again. I have never been so emotionally involved in a story before. Nicholas Sparks has a unique touch for romantic stories that pull on your heart.
This book reminds you of the innocence of first love, and the ability of it to change you forever.
Landon is my favorite fictional male character ever. If you're a female, you'll wish that you were his. As a male, you'll be able to get a few good hints on how to treat a lady! Jamie is another great character. She has such a beautiful soul, and you wish that she could stay protected forever. Their relationship is one that happens only once in a lifetime.
I recommend this book for anyone. It will make you smile and cry. It stays with you for a long time.

Summary: It is a wonderful book, you will like it, I promise
Comment: The story took place in the Beaufort, North Carolina. One of the main characters: Landon Carter, who asked Jamie, another main character, to homecoming dance in their school.Many people in the school didn't like Jamie, they considered that she was a strange girl, always carrying her Bible, never wore fashionalbe clothes, always said:" God arrange this, God arrange that." But Landon can't help falling love with Jamie because he had found out that Jamie was such a sweet, kind girl. She took care of his widowed father, who is the minister in the church of the town, she often went to visit the orphanes in the orphange in the town, she spent most of her time to help them and bring them happiness. This influenced Landon and his life started to change as well.
But maybe the density has played a joke on Landon, when he has totally fallen in love with Jamie, Jamie finally told Landon about her secret: she had a horrible sick and doctor can do nothing about it, she was dying. This really shocked Landon and he can't believe it.
But Landon had to accept the reality, the disease has affected Jamie step by step, day by day. Landon remembered that when one day they were talking about the future, Jamie said that her dream was that one day she could get married by a boy who loves her truely. Landon determined to release her dream and ask Jamie whether she would marry him or not. Jamie said YES, than Landon ran to Jamie's father, who was the minister in the church and asked him to arrange the marriage for them.
On the marriage day, though Jamie was very weak, she insisted to walk by herself on the marriage to approaching Landon, her husband. It took her almost 10 minutes to do it. But this is A WALK TO REMEMBER...
At the end of the book, Landon Carter, who has already been an old man, looked back the life when he was in love with Jamie, he believed, that sometimes miracle could really happen.
Though this book didn't really mention that whethter Jamie died or not, but I can detect that Jamie wasn't dead by that horrible disease because Landon mentioned miracle, only a miracle could save Jamie, and Jamie shouldn't die because we all love her!

Comment: A walk to remember is a rockin cool book to read. It is about a boy named Landon Carter and he is a junior in high school. He meets this girl named Jamie Sullivan and they fall in love. One time Landon didnt have a date to the dance. There was only one other girl in his school that was not asked yet.And that was Jaime Sullivan the preacher's daughter the big bookworm that carried her bible everywhere she went. He asked her at her house and she said I dont know. He thought he did something wrong but he really didnt she told him yes two days later. They ended up having a great clown hoppin time.I reccomend this book to the young at heart people living out there somewhere.
