Summary: Rules 2,a good book for emotional protection but NOT love
Comment: I am a 40 year old male,that divorced and am now married to the love of my life and BEST FRIEND.I feel that the Rules 2 may offer some comfort and direction to woman that have been burned,however it may lead to one holding back love and emotion in a relationship. The bottomline is, that in order to get a lot out of a relationship,a person has to put a lot in,no matter if they are male or female.One can't develop full trust and friendship with role and game playing.I simply say this to all ladies: "Don't expect to make or expect major changes in a guy.Simply come as you are to the relationship,be YOUR best,not anyone elses and follow your heart and don't force the thing to happen.The ideal guy will learn to appreciate you for who you are ,if he really loves you.STOP being obssessed with worry about how big your butt looks in pants and enjoy life.A guy that you have to use these or any RULES on is not worth your time!"Without being crude ,I know that in my case ,my wife is the one that has the higher sex drive and enjoys sex,it is a myth to think that only men want sex on a date.While I teach chemistry and physics for a living,I am quite certain that there are no balanced equations or RULES for falling in love.

Summary: Good but extremely calculating
Comment: I preferred the first Rules book. I think that the rules have been written, very if not, too strictly and I am sure there is a reason for that. Women like myself are determined not to let men hurt them and the advice is good on the whole but we must admit that it is IMPOSSIBLE to follow the rules perfectly 100%. We all mess up at times as we are imperfect human beings, and men do not always treat us perfectly as most of the time, they don't know how even if they try hard to please us. The advice is very useful but I must admit that I cannot agree with it totally. The bit I have a problem with is whether to go on holiday with a man. There is nothing wrong with it in my opinion and it is a good opportunity for both of you to get to know one another better. After even though marriage is a goal for me and a lot of others out there, it is meant to be for life and we don't want to end up with the wrong guy!
I cannot give 5 stars as I do not have an engagement ring at present but I do have a boyfriend who is not perfect but does try hard to be good to me and he's doing a pretty good job so far.

Comment: THIS IS THE WORST BOOK A WOMAN COULD EVER BUY ON THE SUBJECT OF RELATIONSHIPS.THIS IS A BOOK FULL OF MULNIPULATION OF FIRST THE WOMAN THEN THE MAN.THIS BOOK IS VERY SIMILAR TO BLACK MAGIC AND CULT LIKE THINKING.IT BRAINWASHES YOU INTO THINKING YOU ARE EMPOWERED AND GETTING SOMEWHERE..WHEN IN ACTUALLY YOUR NOT EMPOWERED BECAUSE TRUE POWER COMES FROM BEING WHO YOU ARE!!!!! AND ATTRACTING THE RIGHT MAN FOR THE REAL YOU!!!!!IF YOU WANT TO BE SET FREE.BUY BARBARA DE ANGELIS.THE REAL RULES!THAT IS A MASTERPIECE.IT'S THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH.IN A PRECISE AND SIMPILIFIED WELL WRITTEN BOOK.
