Summary: Wake Up House!
Comment: This book entertains and amuses my two and a half year old daughter more than just about any other book in her substantial "library." We read it at night, before bed (perhaps it should be called "Go To Sleep House!" because the book ends with the house going to sleep).
The short poems are fun to read and fun to listen to. The illustrations are three-dimensional and fascinating to look at over and over again. They personalize the house and its contents in a unique way that gives them character and substance without being the least bit precious. It's great entertainment!

Summary: Fun to read, even more fun to look at
Comment: My 20 month-old loves this book! She has me read it over andover and over. She loves the rhyming and the vivid, unique threedimensional illustrations. I highly recommend it, even if your childis younger than the recommended age.

Summary: Eye-Catching Illustrations
Comment: I particularly was struck with the dimension and texture portrayed in the illustrations (made of foam board, plaster and acrylic paints). The poems are also cute and can help children and parents to view the different aspects of their world from other vantage points and learn to verbalize it as well.
