Rating: 4
Summary: Totally Whimsical
Comment: Lisa and Circenn's time travel adventure is one of a kind. This is the first book I've read of Ms. Moning's writings, but it definetly compelled me to read more of her works.

The Highlander's Touch has a unique sense of aura to it. The author combined historical facts, time travel, romance, mystery, and most of all FANTASY! I could'nt believe this book had fairy's as one of it's main characters. But none the less, this book offers lot of joy and enetertainment to it's readers.

Unfortunately, I only gave it a 4 due to it's rushed ending. It left me hanging for more, atleast an epilogue of some kind. It became to fast paced at the end with too little details. But, this book is still good, in which case I highly recommend it, as long as the reader is not oppose to some sort of mysterious fantasy!!!!

Summary: Good, but not her best
Comment: The Highlander's Touch is a good read, but I would recomend Ms. Moning's first book, Beyond the Highland Mist more. With that said, the characters of Lisa and Circenn are well drawn out and believable. However, some of the story elements were pretty unbelievable. Now, I like the idea of time travel and can get lost in that concept, but, there were many other added magic touches that were too much, such as; mind melding, changing the future to suit Lisa, and going back in forth in time like you would go on vacation. The ending seemed rushed and too "happily ever after". I think this author has a bright future with this type of genre and should continue to write them, perhaps with a little more reality thrown in.

Summary: Amazing!
Comment: I was getting bored with the romance genre until I ordered this book. I was riveted from page one. I'm not going to go into plot because so many reviewers did a splendid job of that. All I can say is that Ms. Moning created a delicious brew of time travel and fantasy, faeries and wonderous Scottish lure. In between all of that were two phenomenal leading characters with sparks and sexual tension that left me sighing...and turning page after page until the wee hours. I can almost believe in faeries!
