Summary: Remarkable
Comment: This book is about 3 girls (Lydia, Cassie, and Emily) who are best friends and go to a posh school called Ashbury. Their teacher assigns a penfriend project with the school rival, hoping it'll bring peace. Lydia, Cassie and Emily write letters to 3 boys (Charlie, Matthew and Seb). Lydia and Emily are happy with their penfriends (Charlie and Seb) while Cassie recieves awkward, usually 1 or 2 sentences from a Matthew Dunlop. When she and Matt agree to meet after he's softened up to her, something scary happens, and her 2 best friends and their penfriends decided to take action and get back at him.
But when Lydia and Emily ask Seb and Charlie about Matt, they discover there's no one who holds this name at the rival school Brookfield.
After they all confront Matt, strange things happen at both schools. Viruses affect the Ashbury e-mailing system, rude graffiti covers the walls of both schools, and the Brookfield science lab has a slippery floor. When Lydia, Cassie and Emily are accused of the "wrong-doings", Lydia and Emily pull in Seb and Charlie to try and find justice between the 2 schools.
If you read the Sisterhood Series, Feeling Sorry for Celia, Gingerbread or the Confessions of Georgia Nicholson series, you'll find this extremly funny and enjoyable!

Summary: Saving Seb Mantegna
Comment: I really loved this book, it as such a funny yet realistic stroy about a letter exchange betweeen a private expensive high school, and the local public school - where apparently one needs to have done prison time to enter.
The five main characters (matthew dunlop doesent count) are Lydia Jaackson-Oberman who give out secret assignments, and writes to Seb Mantegna, where they consantly play games, trying to avoid but at the same time seeing each other, giving challenges to avoid exam time and much more. Emily Tomphson has gotten Charlie Taylor, whom she finds very funny and a good friend, and is teaching him how to Go on A Date with a Girl(by studying things like Walking Along Kicking a Pebble or Talking as if Meeting By Chance) , but at the same time end up falling for him head over heels. Nobody quite knows who Cassie Aganovic is talking to. She says his name is Matthew Dunlop - but is that his real name? A fantastic novel for any teen girl who enjoyed Feeling Sorry for Celia
Rating: 5
Summary: This book rocks!!!
Comment: I thought Feeling Sorry for Celia was the funniest book I'd read in 10 years -- but Year of Secret Assignments is even better, and even funnier. Written with wit, charm, and grace, Secret Assignments gives us a bullseye view of teenage life in Australia, which reminds us that teens are the same the world over. Completely captivating - I didn't want it to end!
