Summary: "...in Death" series are getting better and better
Comment: In this exciting installment of the "...in Death" series, Rapture in Death, Eve and Roarke are on their honeymoon on a planet that Roarke is turning into a resort along the lines of Vegas, in the futuristic sense in the year 2058. The resort is still under construction and so it's not open to the public as yet.
While enjoying a relaxing stay at the luxurious hotel Eve finds she is investigating a suicide. One of the engineers working on the construction, a young man, hangs himself in his room. The odd thing about it being the peculiar smile or look of utter "rapture" on the man's face.
Eve and Roarke return to New York and the suicides continue. Eve must find the link between the suicides and discover if they are really murders.
This was one of my favorites in the "...in Death" series. Highly recommended.

Summary: Gutsy (and just-married) Eve Dallas is back!
Comment: J.D. Robb (aka Nora Roberts) has created an intriguing main character in Eve Dallas, and nowhere is this more evident than in this novel. Eve, recently married and still getting used to being well-taken-care-of, must solve a mystery that involves a series of apparently-rapturous suicides. This novel explores virtual reality AND the amazingly satisfying relationship between Eve and Rourke, her new husband. As intriguing as Eve is, Rourke is equally breathtaking as the husband who wants to protect and spoil his new bride while also yearning for her love in return. Several beautifully written and explicit love scenes stand out in the midst of all the high-tech gadgetry and rough goings on. Many fictional couples become less interesting once they're married, but Dallas and Rourke break that mold and work together as a team fuelled by energy, sexual attraction, and mutual affection. Rourke is always ready to save his wife, but she very rarely needs saving. Kudos to Ms. Roberts for creating a heroine who can take care of herself and a hero who knows how to step back and watch her do so

Comment: After reading the first 3 books in the series, I couldn't wait to read this book. Wow! Robb/Roberts just keeps gettig better and better. Eve and Roarke have to deal with some serious issues that endanger their marriage--but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, as they say. Peabody, Feeney, Mavis, Sommerset, Nadine, Mira--they are all back and more. And if you are looking for some hot sex...WOW! The pages practically burned my fingers!
