Summary: Typical Robin Cook. Wonderful!
Comment: This was an exciting book with many twists and turns. Dr. Cook does a good job at hiding the villian in this novel until well into the book. He accomplished this this by only mentioning his name once prior to bringing him in as a full character. We (car pool) liked the way in which you start out hating the character Devlin and in the end thinking that he really wasn't such a bad guy after all. On the down side. Dr. Cook often forgets that many of his readers are not in the medical profession and may not be familiar with the terminaology. We also didn't care much for the reader Donada Peters. We have listened to other books by Mr. Cook and have liked most of them. However, general concensus is we liked Dr. Cook's Blindsight the best and Brain the least. In conclusion, keep putting them out Dr. Cook.

Summary: Fabulous - so intense I had to speed read the end pages!
Comment: This was my first Robin Cook novel, and I've been hooked ever since. This book was smooth reading, but was a bit unbelievable at the end. Other than the ending, the entire book is very much worth reading.

Summary: great medical thriller
Comment: This was the first Robin Cook book that I read and it got me hooked. I've read many of his books. Unfortunately, many of his books have similar plot themes. Nevertheless, this book was fantastic. He has a suspenseful way of writing and medically, is accurate. You will enjoy this book, especially if you have a medical background (although I don't think it is necessary).
