Summary: a children's classic
Comment: A wonderful story, both hilarious and lyrical at the same time. Slim, Jim and Grimsley are three rough tough bronco busters who can't break the black pony. Only the little boy who talks to the horse, plays the harmonica for him and explains the mysteries of a saddle and a bridle can turn him into a friend. Great holiday present that subtly introduces the concept of peace not war, persuasion not coercion. Only picture book in a long time that both me and my husband loved as much as our children!
