Summary: conversacion y confusion
Comment: As a student who has used several different Spanish text books throughout the years, I found this book to be lacking, especially in regards to its structure. It splits concepts into different chapters unecessarily, which leads to frustration when it's time to write creatively. I found myself constantly looking ahead in the book to express ideas which used the grammar we were currently working on. The format for the subjunctive tenses were especially ill-conceived. I did, however, appreciate the insightful cultural vignettes. All in all, I would recommend the Valet books or Dos Mundos over Fuentes. I hope this was helpful.
