Comment: Alice and Aldo are friendly characters who glide through a breezy day with each letter of the alphabet. The book is well written and the illustrations are lovely. My child, at age 2, adored the book and asked a lot of questions about Alice and Aldo and their adventures. Each page shows different items starting with the same letter, and the choices are not old standards but unique words that expand the vocabulary. This would be a good present for a child age 1 1/2 - 3.

Comment: Alice and her pet pony Aldo spend the day adventuring together, having Breakfast in Bed, and Choosing Clothes from the Closet until they Yawn in their Yogurt and sleep all night long...ZZZZ. The story is sweet and surrounding each frame are pictures of objects that start with the letter of the alphabet to which the page is devoted. Some of the pictures seem strange and some are very British (like the cricket bat) but the book is great. My 2 year old loves to point to the picture and say, "What's that Mommy."
