Comment: If you're looking for a book about the life of Alfred Stieglitz and his photography, this isn't the book you want. In my opinion this book is poorly structured and very poorly written. It delves more into the lives of the artists (primarily European painters)whose works Stieglitz exhibited. Stieglitz's impact on photography and the lives of the photographers he befriended is barely mentioned. You can actually learn more about Alfred Stieglitz by reading a biography of Ansel Adams! Fortunately, I purchased this book from a half-price book store - now I know why it was there.
