Summary: Dennis For President!
Comment: After seeing all the five star reviews, I feel cruel giving Dennis only four, but I'm basing it on two things: 1) the original rants went after tougher targets, whereas by Ranting Again, Dennis is relegated to such run of the mill topics as Bad Drivers and Parenthood.
However, whether he's talking Politics or Parenting, nobody aims for the cranium like Dennis.
Reason #2 for the slighted review is that the references are starting to repeat themselves too much. Pavorotti appears in this book as often as Holden Caufield appeared in "Catcher in the Rye". Still, one can hardly fault Dennis for trying to raise the stakes in a world of comedy where Sinbad sells books and Carrot Top is King.
Dennis talks about what matters, and he sheds common sense light no matter what the subject.
For me, Dennis would do a damn fine job leading our nation. He would disagree, but he makes more sense than any candidate I've heard from in ages. And you know what? I believe he means what he says. That's another one he's got over our leaders.

Summary: Witty, Funny, and Brutally Truthful
Comment: I am a loyal fan of Dennis Miller Live on HBO, and never miss an episode. When I found out that he had written a book, I quickly got to my local book store and picked it up, Ranting Again. I wondered why it was Ranting AGAIN, and then I found out that he had written yet another book before that. I haven't yet picked up The Rants, but if it is anywhere near as funny as this book, I know I'll enjoy. This book was hiliarious, and Miller's language and vocabulary are always amusing. A great read for anyone in need of some humor and painful honesty. An Eye Opener!!!

Summary: Funny Stuff
Comment: I admit that I am a recent convert to Dennis Miller's style of humor....after seeing and listening to him express his support of our troops I thought to myself "maybe I was a bit hasty in my judgement". So I bought this book and read it in one night laughing out loud numerous times at his take on contemporary life and his inventive similes.
So if Dennis can forgive me for prejudging him I can forgive him for Monday Night football and continue to enjoy his other books.
