Summary: Would make a FABULOUS movie!
Comment: Well, this book would make an excellent movie. It has an intriuging plot, deep characters, and a truly fun romance story. However, it's written a little too over-dramatically for me. Actually: it reads like a romance novel. No trash involved in this one, but it truly is a dramatized love story... and all that jazz. My favorite part was the history behind it, dealing with Louis XIV and his palace at Versaille - marvelous. So while I enjoyed reading this book very much... I think I'd enjoy it more in theaters.

Summary: I could not put this one down!
Comment: I love historical novels and this one is one of the best. Even though I read it over 4 years ago, I can still remember details. It really brought history alive with the behind-the-scenes look at King Louis XIV and his creation of Versailles as the center of Frech government. On the other hand, one can relate to the outrage of the peasant's at seeing with their own eyes the lavishness of the court all the while their own families were starving and homeless. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who really needs to get lost in a book. It was so captivating that I was written up at work for trying to sneak reading time in!

Comment: I have read this book several times and thoroughly enjoy it each time! The plot is very intricate, the story is wonderful, and the language is beautiful. This is my favorite book and I highly recommend it!
