Summary: Well worth it in any format
Comment: This is yet another unusual J.A. Jance mystery. I can agree with other reviewers that the preaching about taking care of animals does run a bit thin. However, this is a great book. It is more adult than any earlier work, and some Mormons may object to the cult in this book. However, this book is so different than so many others and is a great mystery. I'd recommend this one to anyone over 16.

Summary: Hard to Finish
Comment: I listened to the abridged audio CD version of this novel and it was so bad that I hardly wanted to finish it. The story might have been ok, but the performance by Debra Monk made the sheriff, Joanna Brady sound tired and weak and her husband a total wimp. Yuck!

Comment: I have read every book by J.A. Jance. She is one of my favorite authors. This book is an excellent addition to her collection. I recommend any book she writes!
