Summary: Great book..
Comment: I usually don't read historicals, but I have read the Dark Hunter series written by this author under the name Sherrilyn Kenyon and wanted to try her books under Kinley MacGregor.
I was pleasantly surprised, the book had all the trademark style of the writer- humor, redemption, and an unforgettable hero and heroine. Sin was great- handsome, intelligent, and honorable. Callie was the perfect heroine for this tortured hero. The story was pretty good and the setting rang true for me, unlike in other historicals where you don't get that sense of time and history. This, as well as the other characters and the fast-paced dialogue were all well done. My only complaint in the book was that at times Sin was too fatalistic. He never once cut himself a break and really allowed himself to believe in himself or in Callie. Lucky for him, the heroine was one patient woman!
All in all, I really enjoyed the book and will be on the look-out for the other McAllister brother's stories.

Summary: Another Great Kinley MacGregor Story!!!
Comment: I love this author and all of her books so far! This story brings back some old friends from previous book and introduces you to some new ones.
Althought this story was a bit more sad or bittersweet then some of her other books it will still touch your heart and is well worth the read.
Sin feels that he has no family. He has always been left to his own. He is an advisor to Henry King of England and Henry has asked him to marry. Not only marry but marry a scottish lass. This is his plan to secure peace up in Scotland. Sin would rather rot then return to the Highlands. He has very few fond memories of his time there but he tells Henry he will marry the lady if he can find a priest to marry them.
Callie is living under the protection of the King. She misses her highlands and will do whatever she must to go home. She is in the process of running away when she runs literally into Sin. Little does Callie know that she has run into the arms of her future husband. Eventually she marries Sin ( I don't want to give part of the plot away) and vows to find this poor mans heart despite the fact that Sin claims that he does not have one.
Together they head to Scotland to bring peace and end the raid that have been led by an unknown Scot. Sin also does his best to keep himself isolated from his determined bride. Unfortunatly Sin does not realize how stubborn Callie can be. Callie is willing to do all that she can to bring about peace, and end the unwelcome feelings that her clan has about Sin.
This story is not as fast paced as many of this authors previous books but it is still great. You will remember Sin from the last MacAllister book. He is the...brother to Braden, Lochlan, and Ewan. You will be re-introduced to Draven and his lady Emily (Master of Desire) and of course Draven's brother Simon. I must say the Ms. MacGregor has done it again!

Summary: Excellent medieval romance!
Comment: This author's books really speak to me. I enjoy history, but when I read a romance I'm looking for characters I can care about and root for. This book definitely delivers! Sin is my favorite kind of hero. He's a big, bad warrior tortured by his past and feeling unworthy of love. But he is also misunderstood (in more than one way, but I won't spoil it for those who haven't read it yet). This is a wonderful romance by an author who speaks to a woman's heart.
