Comment: What a waste of my time and money. I felt nothing for the plot or characters. I know Elizabeth can write compelling stories, but lately... I think she needs to take a break to get her punch back.

Summary: Boring!
Comment: I was shocked as Elizabeth Lowell is an automatic buy for me. I didn't like either Gabe or Joy. They were so turned in on themselves there was no room for thoughts of anybody else. Another reviewer mentioned the passion. Where? I must have missed it. My copy is all dented from being thrown across the room so many times. I did finish it but it sure wasn't worth the time it took nor the $$$ it cost.
I was relieved when I noticed this was one of her earlier books. Ms. Lowell has improved vastly since this spelunker's how-to manual was written.
Frankly, I'm annoyed at authors and publishers re-publshing old books in shiny new covers and not mentioning anywhere, except buried inside, that this is a re-tread. I can surely appreciate an author can't possibly keep up with demand for new stories if her stuff is good and/or popular. I've learned to be patient. I've gotten to where the first page I turn to is the one that tells me when the books was first printed. Many times I've already read the book but didn't recognize it in it's new form.
