Summary: A great start to the series!
Comment: You've got to love this book! These Southern Sisters are so unique and fun that they are hard to dislike. It takes a brilliant mind to come up with complete opposite senior citizen sisters as main characters in a murder mystery. Anne George does it! And does it well!

Mary Alice and Patricia Anne are great characters. They are spunky, fun, and find themselves in the midst of a murder. The reader is introduced to their families and I immediately fell in love with all of them. I have since then read the rest of the series and loved them just the same. Highly recommend!

Summary: What A Terrific Thriller
Comment: Murder on a Girl's Night Out, is a wonderful mystery full of suspense and thriller. Anne George, the author of Murder on a Girl's Night Out did a fantastic job on making Patricia Anne and Mary Alice the main characters come alive. Patricia Anne and Mary Alice come upon the murder of ED, the former owner of Mary Alice's new bar the Skoot'n'Boot. Ed is found murdered and hanging from the ceiling of the old bar. Mary Alice and Patricia Anne take it upon their selves to find Ed's murder. These two sister detectives also call upon their daughters Debbie (Mary Alice's daughter) and Haley (Patricia Anne's daughter) to prove the innocence of the murder suspect. Mary Alice and Patricia Anne are both independent women in their early 60's that have two completely different personalities. This novel is one out of the many A Southern Sisters Mystery series. Each novel is full of different murders and suspicions, and they also include the amazing characters of Patricia Anne and Mary Alice.

Summary: Delightful
Comment: This is the first in Anne George's Southern Sisters mysteries. The sisters are two 60-ish ladies in Alabama, one (Patricia Anne)on the quiet side - the other (Mary Alice) more outrageous. In this first book, Mary Alice buys a Country Western line dancing bar and the trouble starts before she even opens. Characters are good; the plot is easy to follow and interesting; it's hard to put down; humor is abundant. This book won an Agatha Award, and rightly so. A good book to cuddle up with and let Ms. George entertain you.
