Summary: Exciting Book!
Comment: This was a well written book thar made an excellent movie as well.You have the history of three police chiefs in the state of Georgia that covers a 45 year period.You also have a long time mystery of missing young boys.This is a mystery passed on over the ages from chief to chief.It remains a huge mystery as to who is behind the dissapearance of the young boys.The true identity
of the kidnapper-killer is shocking. The cultural and racial differences in the community are well covered in this book.If you
read this book you will become a Stuart Woods fan. The movie is excellent as well.

Summary: I could not rest until I had finished this book!
Comment: I had seen the tv mini-series several years ago and liked it very much. When I started reading Chiefs, parts of it came back to me (the mini-series was extremely similar) but I was still held in suspense. Once in a while a book comes along that I can't stop thinking about even when I'm not free to read--I can't wait to get back to it. This is one of those books. There are several characters and plots all leading into one major plot; yet, it never gets confusing or boring. This is one of the best books I have read in a long time.

Summary: Great History/ Mystery Novel
Comment: Chiefs is a great introduction to the Stuart Woods' novels. After I read Chiefs, I have been hooked on all his books. You have to read Chiefs to get the history of the characters that you will met in all his other novels. The opening chapters gets you interested in the mystery, but overall you care about the people. This is the first book I recommend to anyone interested in a good story.
