Summary: a must-buy book for toddlers
Comment: I first bought this book because I loved its vintage look (note to Golden: please re-release more of these classics!). The beautiful illustrations have the same feeling as Mary Blair/Disney from the 1950s--lush, saturated colors with charming creatures inhabiting a happy world. Sadly, you don't see this type of art in a lot of kids books these days. But the REAL REASON you should buy it is how much kids love it....my 14.5-month old daughter is completely addicted to this book. She insists we read it again and again, loves pointing out Nicholas on every page and even tries to sniff the springtime flowers.

Summary: It's a have to have!
Comment: When my 14 year old daughter was little, this was the book she had to have read to her when she went to bed. It was read to her so many times, that by the time she was 3 she had the whole story memorized - and many people thought she could already read! Then, it became the staple for my son. Nine years later, I'm expecting my third child, and have to find a new copy of this book for this baby as it's become a family tradition to read all about Nicholas and his adventures.

Summary: Such a GREAT Book!!
Comment: I had this book when I was little.. i got it in 1981 (year i was born) and I read it so many times!! I had that book memorized! My copy is sitting in my box of baby stuff.......
My son's first bday just past and I just about cried when I saw this book! He just loves it when i read it to him and pays attention to all the bright pictures!
IT'S A MUST for young children!
