Summary: "The second installment in the Sisters-in-Arms series!"
Comment: This is the second Sisters-in-Arms book about sorority sisters who've formed a bond and would do just about anything for each other. If you read the first book in the series, CROSSING THE LINE, you might recall that Anna Shale had been accused of treason and was kicked out of the military. She has no choice but to go back to Panama to her scum-sucking cousin Luis but there's an ulterior motive behind this.
Undercover agent Tom Wild was given the job of taking the place of the previous agent, Manny who was murdered in cold blood by Luis right in front of Anna. Anna feels like it's her fault that Manny was murdered. When Tom first meets Anna she's under the influence of pain pills for a very good reason but Tom jumps to the conclusion that she's addicted to drugs. He's lived through this very thing with his mother and his girlfriend before so there's no way he's going to even remotely get involved with Anna. What Tom doesn't know is that things are not what they seem.
Even though they don't know it yet, Tom and Anna are both on the same side. What will it take for them to finally realize it and start working together to take Luis down once and for all?
This book was intriguing from the get-go. There were some twists to the plot that I never even saw coming until they hit me right between the eyes. This was a fabulous story that I read in a matter of hours. It was that good.

Summary: A raw, intense story
Comment: US Army Delta Force Captain Tom Wild goes undercover to obtain information of the deadly deed Panamanian terrorist Luis Ortiz has planned. Tom makes himself available for hire as an explosives expert making him a valuable asset to Ortiz. Tom also seeks revenge for the death of his friend, and partner, whom was murdered by Ortiz. Tom blames the death on Ortiz's trusted cousin, Anna Shale, a former US Navy lieutenant. Tom does not trust Anna whom is suspected of passing military secrets to her cousin. Tom holds them responsible for Manuel's untimely death and will not stop until his death is avenged, even if he has to seduce the lovely Anna Shale to do it.
A DANGEROUS ENGAGEMENT is the second book in the Sister In Arms military series. This story was just as intense and explosive as the first book, holding nothing back. Candace Irvin puts a lot into romantic suspense, strong characters, real-to-life drama, and explosive military action, keeping a reader on the edge of their seat. The romance in A DANGEROUS ENGAGEMENTbetween Tom and Anna is hard earned but satisfying. The hero and heroine, strong and determined that they are, deserved their happy ending. This was a raw, intense story but very good which I enjoyed a great deal. And Irvin has set up the third book (IRRESISTIBLE FORCES, Jan '04) quite nicely...I look forward to reading it!!
