Summary: pleasant tale
Comment: Honor Mayfield thought she was being rescued from a nasty man blackmailing her younger sister. Instead she was going from a nasty man's clutches to the clutches of a dangerous man. Con Landry was the man on the spot, helping her free her sister from the blackmailer, but what Honor did not know, Conn was running a more sinister game. One of revenge, and the key to the mystery is the race horse his father and her father owned as partners.
A very enjoyable tale that has been reprinted more than once.

Summary: too predictable
Comment: I'm big fan of her books. But I didn't enjoy this particular book. The plot was too predictable. Characters too unbelievable. A woman sleeps with a man and become involved with him that she didn't even know what he does for a living Cmon. and by the end of the novel you still don't know what he does and she states it doesn't matter. Be for real.

Summary: Charming and not predictable
Comment: This book has a charming storyline: love,murder, theft, and revenge in the horse racing world. (Fortunately, it doesn't go so far into educating the reader about horse racing that you get Racing 101) The revenge is plausible without becoming trite, and the love that develops between the main characters is romantic but not maudlin. The bad guy lures the reader in and while you realize who he is, it takes the the whole story to explain why. For me, it is a big plus when the character have dimensions that aren't completely revealed. A sweet love story with a good who-done-it, perfect for summer reading.
