Summary: The Forbidden Bridge
Comment: Jamie is a lonely Australian boy. He has no brothers or sisters and his older cousin, Malcolm, finds it boring to play with him. So that leaves Fran, a fat cocker spaniel puppy, as his only playmate on a homestead miles from anywhere. Jamie's only real friends are the Pinkertons, who live on the other side of the river. And to reach them, Jamie must cross over the 'forbidden' railway bridge. One hot afternoon, he dares to run across the narrow bridge to play with the Pinkertons in their homemade hut. The party is a huge success, but Jamie's return trip across the bridge turns into a nightmare....
