Comment: OMG- It was the BEST book that I have ever read. Cecily Von Ziegesar knows her stuff. I finished the book in 2 hours tops- it was such a page turner- you got to get this book- it is suspenseful and risk-ka. You'll absolutely love it- I have to get the next one!!

Comment: This is the best teen series out there, and while it isn't completely realistic it is more real then book series like Sweet Valley High.The girls school, Constance Billiard is described to the letter, I was a scholarship student at a school very similar to the one in the book I'll admit not all rich teens in upper New York act this way only a very few do. But the characters do make the book interesting, my favorite character is Vanessa, she seems more real. Dan and Jenny are okay too but their obession with Serena is kind of weird. I don't care for Blair, she had no real reason to cut Serena out of her life like that, she didn't even know what happened between her and Nate before she did that. This is a great series and I hope it goes on for a long time!

Hm. Well. I mean, these books are good....ish. They're not as "addictive" as everyone seems to say....I mean, I know they're supposed to be about the posh lives of NYC socialites...but it almost made me feel bad about myself, because I can't afford 12 gorgeous dresses, or a Barney's shopping trip whenever I want it. And I found this book through magazines, teen magazines. I mean, what is it teaching these girls? Who cares if you've got smarts, it doesn't matter unless you can party hard?
On the other hand, it was slightly engrossing. It was sex and the city, teen style. But I don't really like Sex and the City, it's just so....unbelievable. I can't connect to it at all. But you are drawn into the plot of this novel. There is a reason I gave it 3 stars, not 1. It is fairly enjoyable reading this book, as long as you don't become attached.
I guess I would reccomend this. Reluctantly. It's a light read, something to read by the pool. There is a lot of profanity in this bas well as sex. But nothing someone who knows all that can't handle.
