Summary: Satisfies curiosity of comparing celebs upbringing w/ my own
Comment: This book was a good read because, let's face it, we all have a curiosity about what propels certain people towards stardom. This book delves into the childhoods of the world's top celebrities, from the destitute to the very privileged, with information derived from actual interviews of the celebs' mothers and/or mother figures. I found Star Mothers very entertaining, informative, and at times, inspiring.

Summary: FASCINATING, ENJOYABLE AND INSIGHTFUL
Comment: I really enjoyed reading about the childhood of some of my favourite stars and why they chose the profession they did. I am a big fan of Cher so I was particularly intrigued by her upbringing. Also the section on Jodie Foster was fascinating. Anyone who has an interest in show business on a more basic level will find this book a very good read.
