Comment: THE PUBLISHER COULD ADD SOME CREDIBILITY TO THE BOOK BY HAVING A PICTURE OF THE ARIZONA ON THE COVER.THE ARIZONA HAD TRIPLE GUN 16 INCH MAIN GUN TURRETS.THAT IS NOT A PICTURE OF THE ARIZONA ON THE COVER.IT IS LITTLE DETAILS LIKE THAT YOU WOULD THINK THE EDITOR MIGHT NOTICE.

Summary: Mediocre Recounting of the USS Arizona
Comment: This book seeks to present first hand experiences from the USS Arizona. Unfortunately the authors seem to have simply written down whatever they were told and presented it all as fact. There were several historical inaccuracies and contradictions between some of the survivors stories. The writing styles also makes abundant use of adjectives and adverbs, and seems to be written for about a 12 year old reading level. I don't blame the men recounting their memories - over time memories fade and blur with other events, which is why a book should be edited! While the idea of this book is admirable, I would advise against purchasing this book considering all its shortcomings.

Summary: Unique point of view
Comment: The combination of the authors' perspectives, the subject matter and its historical perspective, and the eyewitness accounts were
very interesting and moving.
The book has drama, history, and personality......a rare combination!
