Summary: Practical guide to new age topics.
Comment: Linda Goodman's Star Signs is simply brilliant. She teaches throughout the book how to tune into the awesome higher angel of yourself, known as the Higher Self. Moreover, it is a practical guide to the new age, instead of being 300 pages of abstract new age babble. Linda Goodman also shows the practical ways in which you can make yourself and others happy. She discusses money and possession as they relate to universal law; relates how essential it is to be happy in one's career; GIVES ANCIENT FORMULAS FOR GAINING OR LOSING WEIGHT EASILY; teaches how to unlock mysteries of yourself, others, and the universe through lexigramming and numerology; and shows how to obtain mastery over the body through immortality. I believe in what she says in the immortality chapter, but I don't think it's as easily attainable as she says, nor do I think everyone is at the appropriate level to achieve it. Jesus Christ, an ascended master, was on the level to achieve immortality had he desired it; but the rest of us may have a long way to go. Still, it can't hurt to apply the steps she gives in the immortality chapter. YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO ACCEPT ALL THAT LINDA GOODMAN SAYS IN THE BOOK, BUT DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND READ THIS SPECTACULAR WORK.

Summary: Interesting but partly inaccurate
Comment: Unlike her previous books (Sun Signs, Love Signs) where she spoke merely of sun signs and the relations between signs, in Star Signs, Goodman deals with topics as diverse as Astrological career guide to numerology, as well as color therapy to lose or gain weight. In addition to this she talks about north south polarity, karma, ghosts, gurus etc. Interestingly, she also talks about Physical Immortality and has listed 11 steps towards becoming physically immortal. She has also included some interesting snippets of information such as the fact that it was Nikola Tesla who discovered AC, which is used in every home. Edison had only discovered DC. In addition to all this New Age (if you want to call it that) wisdom, she has also given a list of books you can buy if you are interested in Astrology in particular or the Occult in general. One glaring error in this book is that Goodman equates Avatar with Guru. This is absolutely untrue. An avatar means reincarnation A guru is a teacher. Also some of the things she says such as English being the language spoken in Eden might be hard to digest. In spite of these little glitches I d still recommend this book highly

Summary: Linda is a Goddess!
Comment: I'd been getting this book and her others out of my library for years now, but it was always hard to come by. I always check for her books when I go into other libraries. Because of this, I've noticed the strange penchant for Linda's books to disappear off the shelves. (considering how wonderful the books are, maybe it isn't so strange... ;) They're always returned late or never returned at all! It was unfortunate of me to contribute to that when I lent the library's copy of LINDA GOODMAN'S SUN SIGNS to my friend and he lost it!
One day I finally decided that it was time to get my own copy. I definitely didn't regret it. It's an absolutely indispensible book that you'll read again and again. Linda opened my eyes to so many things, and I'm eternally grateful for it. I've never tired of reading sections over again, it always seems as if I have something more to learn from them.
The numerology and lexigram sections are especially useful and enlightening. I did an analysis for my friend using LINDA GOODMAN'S STAR SIGNS, LINDA GOODMAN'S SUN SIGNS and LINDA GOODMAN'S LOVE SIGNS and we were both amazed at how accurate things were. Some of the things that were on the mark were so highly improbable that it took my breath away.
As one reviewer put it, some of the things in this book may appear "startling" and "unbelievable" but she only encourages you to be skeptical and to explore the possibilities yourself before you take it as truth. I have to say, it caught me off gaurd to read that shortly after I began to feel skeptical about what can be seen as truly outlandish proclamations.
The one and only thing that irritated me about this book is the fact that there are no sources listed in the end but perhaps that's what the Pilgrim's Progress really is. The Pilgrim's Progress is a list of her recommendations for becoming more knowledgeable in areas of Spirituality and the Occult.
Linda's very essence is in the pages of LINDA GOODMAN'S STAR SIGNS as well as in her other books. You get to know her and love her when you read her writing. I've found this is lacking in every astrology book I've read that's not written by Linda. (I'd be wary of LINDA GOODMAN'S RELATIONSHIP SIGNS though, I've read so many things that say it's not authentic Linda)
