Summary: An excellent exposition of a highly unorthodox view
Comment: There are contemporary critiques of the usual logico-linguistic, "scientific" views of language as a semantic, referential, semiotic symbolic system of communication. Of these, Bruns's is one of the best. A congenial and complementary critique is given by Fred Olafson in his "What is a Human Being," a difficult book that I also highly recommend.
