Summary: IF YOU WISH TO FLY UNTIL RIPE OLD AGE - READ THIS BOOK!
Comment: Dr Richard S Jensen is a well known aviation psychologist and a pilot himself. He has done numerous researches in connection with human factors concerning flight safety.

This book is a real "flight safety treasure chest" for all aviators who take flying seriously. Flying is inherently risky, but most of the known risks are manageable. Provided you are a disciplined, safety conscious and responsible aviator.

Jensen addressed virtually all issues concerning flight safety and suggested many ways to avoid air incidents, accidents and disasters. He addressed the aeronautical decison making, pilot judgment, and suggested ways to train "judgment" etc.

The Crew Resource Managenent, a synergistic way of fostering better working relatioship in a multi-crew cockpit environment to improve flight safety records in the commercial aviation industry, now a major training program praccised by leading airlines of the world, is thoroughly covered in this book too.

Jensen also addressed the risk management techniques to combat against "hazardous attitudes and thought patterns" within the minds of pilots, making them conscious of such psychological tendencies and suggested "antidotes" to cure such undesirable traits.

Jensen, in my opinion, has succeeded in bringing the message to the flying community that flying can be made very safe, as long as the aviators are willing to take heeds and follow his advice.

This all-encompassing book addressed virtually all espects of safe flying: Judgment, CRM, Stress, Fatigue, Nutrition, Risk Management, and case studies to illustrate all these.

This book should be rated as "must read" for all pilots, whether GA, Airliners, Sailplane pilots or balloonists, even the management pilots of major airlines, they should all read this gem of a book on flight safety..

I suggest each pilot should acquire a copy of this book and use it like your "Aviaion Safety Bible". It will keep you safe and sound and enable you to enjoy your flying career or hobby to the fullest..
