Summary: Review on the book-Medical Imaging
Comment: A very detailed explanation on how to interpret CXR, AXR and Skeleton XR. A systematic approach is used on each type of XR and therefore make interpretation easier. An unique book which teaches us how to interpret XR systematically. Personally, I really like the explanation and interpretation which are given for each XRs from Ch1-Ch5 because he follows the method which he has mentioned in the beginning of each chapter. It is important because if we try to remember different features for different pathologies, it will take a long time and always forget. But now, by using systematic approach, I can interpret most of the XR even though I haven't seen that pathology before. Other good features such as: * the section on "correlation of pathology and XR" from chapter 1-5; * good summary in each chapter; * always stick to three features for each XR, i.e. opacity, radiolucent and displacement. These make interpretation very easy; * XR film quality is good; * A lot of funny and interesting pictures and cartoons, e.g. p.89, p.145, p.259 etc. * Hint section provides very valuable information. * In section 2, a very practical way to approach different systems clinically. * Good summary in chapter 16. * A book which is not too long or too short, it just right. You should be able to finish the whole book in 1 week. * Lastly but not least, section 3 is a very useful section which provide more understanding and knowledge on radiology.
