Summary: Classroom favorite
Comment: It looks like a lot of other teachers have enjoyed using Heckedy Peg with their students. This is the tale of seven good little children named after the days of the week who ask for specific items from the market. While Mother is gone shopping, the children are lured away by a witch. Their mother must use her cunning to save them. I read it every year to my third graders, who love figuring out which child goes with which food. The illustrations are terrific and even I love to look at them again and again.

Summary: Children of all ages love this story
Comment: Whenever I am substitute teaching or babysitting, I bring a copy of this book. The illustrations are amazing (my favorite is the one of the children lighting the witch's pipe!) and the story keeps you at the edge of your seat. Watch children's eyes light up when you read this and expect to be asked to reread it, again and again! :)

Summary: AMAZING!
Comment: I LOVED this book as a child and have been searching for it for almost a year! I would ask people if they had ever heard of it and everyone would give me funny looks, but once you read it, you will understand! The illustrations definetely make the book!
