Comment: Ok, so we're partial! We gave this book out at our Spring Fling Fly and the kids were on cloud nine! Well, what do you expect from kids who spend thier weekends watching their parents in hot air balloons? Seriously though, we were really happy to find this book, and loved Altoona. My six year old even took it in the basket with my husband and I! By the way, Mr. Amazon.com, we ordered 17 of these books from you. Now we're wondering if we can arrange a discount for our sister group in White Plains...hmmm? hmmm?

Summary: A fresh, lighthearted picture book for the very young!
Comment: Not only did my children thoroughly enjoy Altoona Baboona, but as a mom, I was delighted to find a book that appeals again and again, with a lighthearted text that flows from beginning to end with adventure and humor. Altoona is a character you can fall in love with, and Bynum carried this off with an adventure per page...exactly what a four year old finds irresistable in a book. Definitely a "Read it again!" story.

Altoona Baboona is a bored baboon with wanderlust in her heart. She takes off on a high-flying adventure in a hot air balloon and discovers friendship along the way. The art is colorful, engaging and a world of fun - just like the story itself.
