Summary: Lives can change with just one event
Comment: Hush. One word that can mean so many things. A loving husband, father, and black cop witnessed two white cops murder a young, helpless black boy. Does he stay hushed to ensure the safety of him and his family, or speak out against the officers wrongdoings to ensure justice in society? This cop decides to admit he was a witness to the crime and let the town know that there are two murderers that are supposed to be protecting them. Since he says this pubicly, he threatens his and his family's lives. They then have to join the Witness Protection Program and change their names and move to a different city. Everything that they had lived for up to that point was gone. Their lives had completely changed. Toswiah and Cameron Green, now Evie and Anna Thomas, have to stay hushed about what happened to them and their family, and their past life. They have to learn to respond to their new names, and to forget about friends, family, and treasured objects that were left behind. They have to completely change their lives, all for their safety. All though it is hard at first, they get used to it, and become accustomed to their new life style and ways of living.

Comment: Hush by Jacqueline Woodson is a great book.There is this girl named Toswiah that used to live in Denver but now lives in Detriot.The reason why they moved because it was crowed in the apartment.They moved into a beautiful house.Toswiah grandmother didn't go because she had friends and family that loves her so much.Also she doesn't want to make new friends and feel lonely.One day a boy got shot by officers for no reason because they thought the boy had a gun on him but he didn't.They probaly thought he did becuase he reached for his inhaller.On the day of the boy funeral the cops had to go.When Toswiah's dad came out looking good and tall in his uniform.She was proud of him being a cop.If you want to find out what goes on morego read the book it's real good.

Comment: A voluminous book made for a fanaminal read is HUSH. This book tells a story about a young girl and her family, they are ecstatic of where they live,Denver. Their policeman father is determind to yeild all people and spread peace. Then one day her wittnesses a murder,not just any murder. His two policeman friends siez a young african-american boy out of nowhere! Next when he has to make a very important decision:"Does he testify or not?"...
