Comment: The title of the booklet "How To Draw Spirit And Friends" is somewhat self-explanatory. Fans of the movie "Spirit: Stallion Of The Cimarron" will have hours of fun looking at and trying to copy the excellent illustrations of DreamWorks artist Lawrence Hamashima. The drawing tips are interesting not only for children, but for everyone who wants to learn more about the artwork of animation drawing as well as horse anatomy.
At the beginning, general tips for drawing are given, while extra tip boxes appear on the following pages, pointing out interesting drawing facts the reader might not have noticed otherwise. Step by step it's explained how to draw Spirit as a colt, Spirit, the eagle, Rain, Spirit running, Esperanza, and Little Creek. Each chapter is preceded by a short introduction telling about the western frontier and horses.
