Summary: A Guide for Developing Interdisciplinary Thematic Units (2nd
Comment: In my opinion, this book is a very interesting and useful book. It is not done in the traditional textbook style and keeps the reader interested all the way through it. It has very valuable information about assessment and how important planning is to making a unit successful. I enjoyed reading it and learned many new and valuable ideas about thematic units. I was not very interested in making a thematic unit because they take so much time (I thought!) but this book helped me plan and design my unit with ease. I am now more interested in taking the extra time involved in planning and designing units for the future to use with my students. I thoroughly enjoyed using this book and will use it over and over in the future! The only thing I did not like about the book was the print size. It was hard to read without my glasses!

The text was easy to follow and relevant for schools today. Ms. Roberts and Mr. Kellough provide samples and helpful questionnaires that truly assist teachers in developing relevant thematic units for their classroom.
