Comment: This is such a great book. I've bought several books on SNMP but this one is by far the most easy to understand with the most illustrative examples.

Comment: I have been working on SNMP for a while, and have read a lot of SNMP books. This book is definitely the best one and it's written for both beginners and experienced engineers.

Summary: Everyone thinks this book is for beginners???
Comment: The one star rating I gave this book was because I bought this book based on all the people who said this was a great book for beginners to learn SNMP. ABSOLUTELY NOT! If you are a beginner, don't touch this book. Nowhere in the book does it show you how to actually USE SNMP practically. It does throw out some code here and there, but doesn't explain how or why the code works...let alone the most important part...how to implement it. It's just code by itself sitting there. This book may be a good reference for the experienced, but all it is is definitions of the different parts of SNMP. Big waste of time and money for a beginner.
