Summary: A bright "Star" in the OR SKY!!!
Comment: Very good book! Can be used as a reference for practising engineers or as a Text-book in a class room at the Senior under-graduate class or in a Masters program. I used this book 25 years ago and now the 2001 edition is very well written and organized, addressing the 21st Century problems in OR. For Personal PC applications the CD is of great help for any one who want to succeed in Operations Research!

Summary: Good problems, bad explanations!
Comment: Operations Research isn't that hard but this book makes it seem so. Overly complicated explanations coupled with a weak theoretical background (often explaning things without providing proofs) make it a pain to read. On the upside, there are a gazillion good problems to practice on.
