Comment: I am a networking instructor in our local community college. I have had the opportunity to work with many products from a variety of manufacturers. I have never yet been let down with a Linksys product. They prove to be reliable and user friendly every time. I recommend their products as well as this book. The book was filled with great, and most important, accurate information!!!!

Summary: Great Book - My Wireless Home Networks Kicks ...!
Comment: With all due respect to Mr. Harry Bush who wrote a review of this book, Linksys: The Official Guide never claims to cover the issues he complains about. I have two kids and wanted to set up a wireless network in my house. This book really helped me out and I would have been lost without it. I have an old Pentium I PC in my basement and I think I'll add it to the network too. I'm sharing printers and scanners all over the house! Cool book covering stuff and well written too.

Summary: Linksys Networks: The Official Guide
Comment: Incomplete and overly simplistic. The authors frequently use acronyms, but the glossary does not define them.
This book does not cover the 802.11g wireless routers, etc. It offers nothing usefull on the problems that I have encountered.
Perhaps the second edition will fix some of these problems.
