Summary: First part good but second part not enough
Comment: I passed both exams end 2002 using this book and other materials.
It is certainly a good preparation tool for the first exam but it is not enough for the second part. You need 46 correct answers on 60 questions which is one of the highest score needed for an Oracle exam.
For at least 15 questions I had during my exams, the answer could not be found in this book. For some points of the exam Test Content Checklist which can be found on the Oracle web site, there is not even a word in this book.
My advice :
- use this book to have a general understanding of the subject.
- do all the exercices of the book, it's really useful if you don't work with Forms everyday.
- buy youself a Self Test Software. At least 15 questions I had during my exam were simular to the ones you can find in this preparation tool and there are not in the book.

Summary: Great preparation guide
Comment: This book provided me with an excellent resource for the OCP exams. The author keeps you interested in the book by asking questions after each key concept is covered, as well as providing you with database objects to give you a "hands on approach" to learning how to build a custom application. The chapter review questions and chapter summary provides a condense version of each chapter. The CD-ROM has practice questions that you will see on the actual exam.
For those of you taking the exam, I recommend going through this book and then purchase pratice tests from Self Test Software. With this book and the practice tests, you will ace the exams.

Summary: Is the exam guide trust worthy?
Comment: I agree with most of the guys that to pass the fourth exam (Build Internet Applications II) you need to prepare more than that is covered by this exam guide. For example it didn't mention a single word about Oracle Report but it did appear in the fourth exam. Even for those part that IS mentioned in this guide, you need to take extra care about the property palette details to pass the exam. Also I'd like to say this book is a bit hard to read, though it did help me to pass my third exam.
