Summary: read cover to cover, took practice exams on disk, passed!
Comment: I read this book and took the practice exams over and over and passed the certificastion exam in less than twenty days. I can't argue with results.

Rating: 4
Summary: Good intorductory book, for begginers-intermidiate levels
Comment: I think this is good book for beginners to intermediate level. I've read this book through in about 10 days. Very easy written, with good pictures. Easy to understand and remember. Covers MOST of the topics required for Network+ exams. However this book is not enough to prepare for Network+ exam. Some topics are oversimplified, why another are not enough covered. A lot of topics explained very briefly, without any details that would help one to understand and better memorize it. Majority of snapshots are taken from win98 machine, while we are half a way to Longhorn. 99% of the examples and troubleshooting techniques assume windows computers. I can recommend this book as a very good introductory book, but definitely not all in one Network+ study aid.

Rating: 2
Summary: not too bad but i think there are other books out there
Comment: i read all those reviews and they are right. The book does not really prepare for the network+ certification. I had some fun reading it. The questions in the book and on the cd are way to easy and really do not cover what is on the real test. I passed the test but only because i had some previous experiences as i took graduate courses in networking. I would say that the whole book is just too much to read. He is good with telling stories and making jokes but i think the book could be cut to a at least to a fourth of its size and would give a more efficient study guide. Maybe its because people that do the Network+ cert are not as educated... i have no idea.
