Summary: Not about cabling and definetly not for contractors.
Comment: Just look at Table of Contents. This book offers very little practical input on actual installation of cable. It's better suited for network topology design and review of network equipment,protocols, and theory in general. Almost half of the book is an assortment of RFC's and protocol standarts. Regurgitation of irrelevant information. Get 'The Cabling Handbook' by Vacca or 'The complete guide to network cabling'.
