Summary: Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging
Comment: Growing up is a difficult time for most teenage girls, but for Georgia it's even worse. She's worried about her big nose, accidentally shaves off her eyebrows, and is concerned that she will grow to have one bust, like most of the women in her family. Add in her psychotic cat named Angus (the poodle stalker and destroyer of clothes), the party where she dressed as a stuffed olive, plus a family she'd like to trade in for another and you're ready to be captivated by this humorous and entertaining book. "Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging" by Louise Rennison reads like a teen version of "Bridget Jones Diary". Georgia's glossary in the back of the book defines the British words so we yanks can comprehend the slang. What is full-frontal snogging?? (Kissing with all the accessories-tongue, open mouth, you know the GOOD stuff!). This book is a must read for girls/women of all ages (adult topics are mentioned) and fortunately it's one in a series! The next in the series, "On The Bright Side, I'm now the Girlfriend of a Sex God" is just as good as the first, however, it is a little more adult in its content.

Comment: After reading the novel, Angus, thongs, and full-frontal snogging: Confessions of Georgia Nicolson, by Louise Rennison, I was greatly impressed. This fictional novel takes us on a journey through a 14 year-old girl's school year. The main character Georgia Nicolson, often referred to as "Georgie", keeps us (the readers) very entertained through out the novel. She is a typical, dramatic, superficial, teenage girl. The story also includes her first crush. Also known as the "sex god", Robbie is definately a main part of the plot. The novel is written in a "diary form." I enjoy reading novels in this form because i find it easier to read. The author, Louise Rennison, uses brittish slang in her writing which makes the novel even more interesting to read. I enjoyed reading this catchy-titled book. I would suggest it to any girl of all ages.

Summary: Most entertaining and down right laughable.
Comment: Georgia Nicolson is 14 years old and right in the throws of everything a teenager holds sacred. As we experience life through her eyes we are brought back to a time that was simple yet complicated. However can that be you ask? Just lose yourself in this enjoyable piece of fiction for a day and you will find yourself laughing out loud and looking for someone to share the many hysterical bits of Georgia’s life.
She has a cat that is big enough to stalk and eat the poodle next door, and a three-year-old sister that smells a bit “hamsterish”. She is in need of a first kiss and is learning from Peter who gives free kissing lessons to anyone who knocks on his front door before his mom gets home at 6:30. Georgia will charm you from the first sentence when she introduces you to her Uncle Eddie who is as “bald as a coot” and can’t pass up a chance to ask her “Should bald heads be buttered?”. The scenarios are endless as well as hilarious. This is a wonderful light and quick read when you just want to have a laugh and remember how it was to be a teenager.
