Summary: Dancers are too thin.
Comment: The text of this book isn't bad but the pictures of
the little girls are too thin. The cult of ballet
with its promotion of thinness and even bonyness is
very dangerous for girls and women. I wish that the girls
pictured in this book were more normally shaped. The
emphasis on the down side of competition is good.

Comment: This book is a good lesson book for teachers and a good moral book for parents. It shows that sometimes when competing, you loose the true worth in what you are doing.
