Summary: You can't be funny while sucking up to the establishment
Comment: It just doesn't work. He used to come across as mildly subversive (though he was never really that subversive), but now he's ranged himself with the forces of the current administration. That just makes him an agent of the current state propaganda machine.
Since the president doesn't really have a vital need for Miller's services, Miller just comes across as a pathetic, boot-licking toady. Who does he speak for? Why does he bother?

Summary: I Don't Mean to Get Off On a Fascist Rant Here...
Comment: Like most Americans, I remember the Clinton years fondly. Those days, Dennis Miller had the very funny show, "Dennis Miller Live" on HBO, which I always looked forward to watching. Not only was his show entertaining and hilarious, but Miller's views were sensible and I found myself agreeing with him many times. My, how far a person can come. Miller's financial success during the 90s have made him an elite neo-conservative. It begs the question, why would a popular entertainer become so conservative almost over night? The answer: $ Yep, conservatives love their money, and will go to great lengths to radically change our nation for the worst, to ensure they get their tax cuts. Have you heard Miller on the Tonight Show lately? He makes ethnically derogatory remarks against Middle Easterners, fanning the flames of hatred...just the thing the world needs right now. He has an exceptionally mean spirit, suggesting the US consider nuclear weapons in Iraq. He suggests that environmental concerns are exaggerated. He suggests that we ignore our debt to other nations since we're the most powerful nation in the history of civilization and no one would dare defy us to collect their debt. It's scary that such an arrogant, hateful extremist like Miller is welcome on mainstream talk shows and that his books are considered anything but hate literature. But the good news is, I saw this particular book at the Dollar Tree...maybe a prelude to what'll happen to this guy. Hey Dennis...what goes around comes around baby. Take your nose out of Bush's backside and stop picking on people who can't defend themselves.

Summary: Dennis Is Going With What's Popular, But He's Behind
Comment: Ok Ok. Maybe my first review of Dennis Miller's book was harsh, so I rewrote it. But what do you expect when reviewing a book from a person who talks complete nonsense?!! Dennis TRIES to be funny, but he fails miserably. Dennis is at his best, when he avoids leaning to the left or to the right. When he could praise and criticized BOTH sides when they deserved it, is when he shined. These days, Dennis has gone from common sense to a complete right-winger. I guess it because these days it's popular to bash Democrats and be a conservative. But I guarantee you, the time of the extreme left is dead and the extreme right will be dead in a few years. There's no place for either in the near future. I suspect that Dennis knows this, which explains why he is trying to seek office. LOL. He missed the boat 9 years ago to be an extreme conservative. Moderates are the ones who will control the political landscape in the future. Perhaps then, Dennis will get it right and become moderate once again. This book is basically him trying to cash in with the time.
