Summary: Excellent Immersian Resource
Comment: This textbook takes an effective approach to learning French by way of immersion. Aside from the introductory explanation of methodology, there is nary a word of English in the book. This encourages students to begin thinking in French, rather than learning to translate to French. Of course, it is not a practical text for someone learning French on his or her own, as it is intended for the classroom setting. It is also used most effectively in conjunction with the companion workbook and audio tapes. My only criticism is that the paperback version of the book looks like it was printed off an old photostat machine -- the pictures are of particularly poor quality.
