Summary: A good companion to the documentary mini-series "Hollywood"
Comment: If you've read Brownlow's other books on the silent film era--or if you haven't but just like silent films--you'll enjoy this book. Although not as detailed in its text as Brownlow's "The Parade's Gone By...", this book is still worth having for its many pictures. For those unfamiliar with the silent film era, this is a good place to start learning.
