Summary: Not paradise wild but WILD, WILD, WILD
Comment: Let me tell you that this is not the ordinary love story and because of that I enjoyed the change. Sure, I read through pages and pages of, "he loves me or he loves me not": "I love him or I love him not": " she loves me or she loves me not": "I love her or I love her not". It was very interesting how each decided to call a truce for the sake of their carnal cravings and then it was back to the above.

Even though I liked this book, I must state that there were some things in the story that challenged my imagination. For example, Corinne decided to marry Jared after he raped(day) her for sake of giving the unwanted child a name. Corinne was a very rich girl and could have married anyone of her suiters who had not raped her and he would have happily given her son his name.

Also. she travels from her home town in Boston to completely accross the United Stated to Hawaii just to keep an eye on Jared who deserted her after consummating the marriage on their wedding night. Jared was not the hero I wished he would have been, but it was necessary for him to have been just what he was. Corrine was not attracted to any of the gentelmen that she knew but Jared's cold ruthlessness really turned her on.
Another thing that exceeded my imagination was that Jared did not recognize his baby son borned to Corrine when he looked at him. The son, Michael, was a near mirror image of Jared yet poor Jared was not able to see the similarity. Corrine, therefore refused to reveal to Jared that the night he raped her the son Michael was conceived.
Despite all of the above love developed and they lived happily ever after. If you want a different kind of love story, try this one out. Who knows you. like me, just might like it. --...

Summary: This is the worst story Johanna has written.
Comment: I hated this book. Hated it. I hate Jared. I hate how he always had the upper hand. I hate Corinne's stupid idea to go to Hawaii and get revenge. Maybe that wouldn't have been so bad, but she couldn't think of anyway to actually get him back. As soon as she gets there he foils her plans and once again he has the upper hand. She stupidly goes along with everything he forces on her. For someone who's so supposedly strong-willed, she never really demonstrates the courage needed to exact revenge; not even enough to make him realize that his plan was despicable and wrong. She doesn't revenge herself for the evil and hateful way he used her. He never apologized or felt any remorse and as a matter of fact, he continued to use her and treat her badly. What did she see in him? Why would she allow herself to be so emotionally abused? I didn't like him and I didn't like her either. Then the stupid ending...Ms. Lindsey why do you think we'd enjoy reading about some arrogant, self-congratulatory jerk like Jared? He had not one redeeming quality. He never did anything to make me like him and I was still wishing at the end that he'd get his just desserts. It was very disappointing.

On another note, I love and have read all of your other stories 3, 4, somtimes 5 times. (Except A Pirate's Love; that had the same basic concept as Paradise Wild)

Are you going to write a story about Shanelle Ly San Ter's twin brother? He deserves his own story and I'm really anxious to read about your future world again. I liked both the mom & the daughter's stories a lot!! They were awesome!

Summary: Even one star is too much! Yuck!
Comment: Almost all of Ms. Lindsey's work is wonderful, but this one really sucks! I don't know what in the world Ms. Lindsey thought she was doing when she wrote this story. I could never fall for an SOB like Jared Burkett, and I don't know why Corinne was masochistic enough to still want him even after he had humilated and used her. The whole story was "choppy"--lacking tender touching moments wherein they could bond or believably start anew. I don't even know how they even had any kind of relationship when they were both too intent on revenging themselves upon one another.
